The Lambert home.
Building on a hill is always a bit of a challenge. Too
often everything gets rounded and there's no flat spots
for sitting around. As we crafted this front garden, we
maximized out the flat areas, then planted exotic
carolingian shade trees to keep that hot summer sun at
bay, and with hydrangeas and wigela profusions around
those rocks to offset the heavy blue house wall. The
6-8in step stone is from Madoc region and the dark grey
limestone is from the Ottawa area. |
